open close the in/out section

ive posted this elsewhere but i'm still stuck so...

i'm making a patch to open and close the browser and the detail view. i want to do the same for the in/out section but i don't know the syntax and i can't find anything in the LOM reference about it. can someone give me a hand? i know it's something similar to : "call hide_view Browser" but with something else written instead of browser but i'm stuck. is it in fact possible? i assume so if i can open and close the browser and detail views

ive tried using the LOM navigator patches on the MFL website but no joy there either

is there a reference somewhere for this type of information? if there is i haven't found it yet

UPDATE : one of my very helpful and knowledgeable FB friends came up with a way of doing it using MFL and Java. i have seen it working on his pc with a little video he sent me, so it is definitely possible. he sent me the patch but for some reason i cannot get it to work on my laptop. i have installed java and put the mxj autobot files in the right folder, put the right userpath in the file preferences but now we can't figure out why it doesnt work

are there any MFL Java people out there who know what might be the issue?
