Is there a way to share scope between objects created with Min Devkit?

Let's say I have MaxObject1 and MaxObject2. In MaxObject1 I have defined a class. Created an instance of it, instantiated some member variables, and run some member functions.

In MaxObject2 I would like to run some other member functions of the class on the *same instance* that I instantiated in MaxObject1.

This way, in my patch, I don't have to pipe every interaction with the class back to the single instance of MaxObject1. Instead, I could easily interact with the class from anywhere in my patch. And I could create different Max objects for different kinds of interactions with that one instance of the class.

Is there any way to do something like this? Is there a good way of doing something like this? Is it impossible because it is a TERRIBLE IDEA(tm)?

Most of what I want to do with my new externals are all manipulations of a single C++ Object. But if, in Max, all of those operations have to get piped back to a single instance of a single Max Object the patches will be less ergonomic than I would prefer.

I'm imagining functionality similar to what you can achieve with a named [coll] object or a named [dict] object. Where I can interact with a single instance of the object from anywhere in the patch.

I guess another would be to ask, "how do [pattr] and [pattrstorage] talk to each other?"
