I think there is a bug with pow~ in version 8.5.2 (c9ba072623d) (arm64 mac).

Currently pow~ 2 gives me not only 1 when the input is zero, but incorrect results for other numbers. Using gen~ and pow 2 works fine though.

Edit: it works fine, I just realized for pow~ the inlets are reversed (as opposed to pow).

I recently stumbled about the same issue. Even more confusion: [pow~] in RNBO follows the Max [pow] inlet order. So only [pow~] in MSP is reversed.

you should be happy that it only has 2 inlets. with 3 inlets there would be 6 different combinations possible.
