Problem Loading Quicktime Files in Max (PC)

Hello friends,

I'm having difficulty getting jit.qt to playback video files. I'm guessing this has something to do with quicktime as I'm a PC user.

I've made a quick video that shows the problem I'm having. Any advice or guidance you could offer would be super helpful.

Thank you.

Have you installed quicktime on your PC?

With Ableton Live, one must have quicktime installed to be able to preview MP3s within the application. I am only guessing, but perhaps you're suffering from a similar issue here

I've installed Quicktime. I've tried multiple older versions as well.

I'm able to play videos just fine in Quicktime itself.

Are you using the 64-bit version of Max?

Yes. Sorry for not being more clear earlier. I'm using both x64 versions of Quicktime and Max.

Should I try x32?

yes, if you want to load quicktime movies, you must use the 32 bit version.
the 64 bit version will load WMV files.

Rob,

That did the trick. You're the best!

Well i have the same problem.
You meant both the QuickTime and Max, when you wrote to use X32?

The 64-bit version of Max for Windows doesn't support Quicktime playback. If you want to use the 64-bit version of Max with Quicktime playback, you need a Mac. Otherwise, the 32-bit version of Max has Quicktime playback for both Windows and Mac.

No need to find a Quicktime x32. You only need to use Max x32.

Thanks =)
And as i understand x32 version is fully functional as Mac?
