On a metro that bangs every 10 seconds, I have three jit.gl. text that shoot to the screen consecutively. Each one has a send and receive where I have the audio play concurrently below the code.

To find it in the Patcher in case you get lost: part 3 > p text

I left a few comments, but what I was thinking of was Each Ding! can be played by different speakers around the room correlating to their placement on the screen (left, centre, and right).

I am not sure how to accomplish this.

The surround sound tutorial shows what I am working with.

To explore the patches I added please put them all in the same folder.

can you not say in few simple words what you need ?
play mono file into 1 of 8 speakers, or pan between 8 of them in circle?

recently i became a bit allergic to sentences containing "quadrophony", "surround" and "quad panner" together, because those are really three different things from the technological point of view.

if you have the freedom to have a small hotspot and if your speaker array is uniform, you will love to have a circular panning and prefer it over the "square" patch you are using.
