quaternions?
Is Max expecting quaternions to be <w, x, y, z> or <x, y, z, w>?
It seems that quaternions from the Myo work better with [zl rot 1] applied to them. I suspect that is because the Myo is x, y, z, w
and Max wants w
first. But, I want to be sure I understand the situation.

Thanks. I'm glad that Max has the tools to do what I wanted here.
I did look at all the documentation I could find to try to understand the quaternion order. Figuring out how to use quaternions from the Myo to control a shape in Jitter was a bit more involved than I had hoped. For those following along at home, I've attached my patch below. I would have benefited from a tutorial on this stuff.
