Realtime sound analysis tools for Max8, any recommendations in lieu of Tristan Jehan's 'analyzer'?
Hi all
There have been a few posts from people looking for Tristan Jehan's brilliant analyzer~ - or some equivalent for Max8.
I'm currently working on a project where I need to measure the 'noisiness' of a sound, and am thinking there must be some way to do this with something like pfft~ or other newer methods made possible with Max8.
On a similar note, do people have any suggestions for the Max8 equivalents for Miller Puckette's fiddle~ and bonk~ objects?
: )

Consider looking also at the Alex Harker objects.

Considering the noisiness, maybe this paper might give some hints...

zsa.descriptors in the Package Manager has a series of analysis tools.
Hi Riccardo, Loadmess and Pedro
These are great - I have the 64bit version of analyzer~ running now, and will take a look at the other links. Thanks once again – I do hope other forum members will find this thread useful too
