Must admit I don't have too much off an issue with it and find it quite useful.
I had been getting into the habit of using the similar options from the green menu popup from the left inlet in Max5.
Just noticed you can still access that menu by right or control clicking on left inlet but it does not behave the same . . .
It did take some getting used to patching-wise but I found I could quickly create and connect chains of objects.
With the new attrui it is even easier, as it is multi-purposed rather than single. But it would be better if it were useable in edit mode.
The diversity of stuff that can be shown/accessed/created by the wheel is quite amazing imho though I would like to see a few more.
It would be great to be able to create connected blank-objects ready for naming or anticipated-objects as well as messages.
It would also be good to do quick edits straight from the attributes menu with object creation
File navigation in the various file panes could be looked at too. Improvements needed here i think.
I think it just needs a bit of a play with - I would love to see some video's of the C74 envisaged use-case scenarios . .
(i understand Max6 is catering to an easier learning curve, but it shouldn't be at the cost of productivity. plus, just being honest, the environment is starting to look too much like a cheesy and tacky toy. i don't mean that to be insulting, i just can't think of any better way to put that. the colors are fruity and tacky in a distracting way. but on the other hand, cheers to catering max for gay people :D not too many companies do that these days. )

As a gay man I find this massively offensive. Max6 has got less colourful if anything, haven't you seen the new grey and black help files? I find myself having to reference max4.6 if I'm going to get ANY work done
FWIW, like many of you I was less than enthusiastic about the wheel menu when I first encountered it. However, after using Max 6 for some time I would have a hard time living without it. There are probably several things that will seem like an awkward transition in Max 6, but I hope everyone will take some time to get accustomed to the changes and report back about what is and isn't useful.
I never use that thing. It only ever gets in my way. That's all it does in my little Max world. It's the irritating annoying little pie thingy that emerges only and always when I don't want it to.
I'm told (by people far more knowledgeable than I) that I should take advantage of it's power and utility. That may all be well and true. But I don't want to get rid of it. I simply want to put it aside until I choose to make use of it.
