RME Fireface UC and MAX/MSP

I have been searching ways to connect my RME Fireface UC to MAX/MSP, but I am not really sure on what I should do except from installing the drivers needed, and choose it as output in MAX/MSP.
I read a lot in the cycling forum, but everything on RMEs are a bit advanced.
Do I need to add something specific in the patch that I am using?

Thaanks in advance :D

With RME sound interfaces, usually, you install the RME driver. Then, when you connect your interface, TotalMix launches automatically (use of TotalMix is highly recommended when you use a RME soundcard: allows for greatest flexibility).
Then, when you launch Max, menu Options -> Audio Status, you should be able to select the RME interface as input/output device... Sounds like that's the step you haven't done.

Thanks a lot for the response. I just wasn't sure if i need to add any objects in my patch that support the input/output from an external sound card. :D

you were not wrong with this at all, because it IS an object which does this right inside the audio status patch :)
