RNBO 1.3.0 refuses to start...
Ey guys,
So I wanted to work on a RNBO project but Max caused a timeout and after several minutes I eventually got an error message; buildserver failed to start. At first I blamed the fact that my installation is heavily customized (the program folder is even located in \program files\Ableton\Max 8) so I figured I'd do a full clean sweep.
I deinstalled Max, moved all config files out of the way (in %appdata%\Cycling '74), moved the default projects folder out of the way and then re-installed Max. At this stage RNBO works as expected again but I haven't even authorized Max yet, all default settings.
Yet the moment I upgrade the RNBO package to 1.3.0 I'm met with errors again, which I've attached, it times out and that's the end of that.
Considering the fact that everything is using default settings, and that RNBO works before the upgrade I can't help wonder if I'm hit with a bug of some sort?
Thanks in advance for any feedback.

What version of Max are you running? I'm seeing that we only require >= Max 8.5.6, but RNBO 1.3.0 actually requires >= Max 8.6.0. Does Max 8.6.0+ work for you?
I'll look at fixing this issue on the Package Manager.
@Ben
Thanks for your response! Doh, I should have been a bit more specific about my OS up there. Sorry, the tension got to me a little because having to spend most of my would-be developing time trying to debug this stuff didn't improve my mood yesterday ;) All good now btw.
Anyway... I'm running the latest public release of Max, version 8.6.2. Build d07622e34e, on x64 Windows 10, pro edition.
I ended up restoring a full backup of Max (except for the binaries) and now I keep RNBO at v1.2.6 so that I can get some work done. But the whole thing is kinda peculiar, especially because I could reproduce the errors after a full clean install which hadn't been authorized yet.
For the record I also checked my firewall settings and tried to turn those off too, also because it mentions a timeout which is often caused by either a firewall, or a wrong IP address, but that did me no good either. I'm actually not fully familiar with Max packages yet because I mostly ignored their inner workings and just focussed on working with Max / Max for Live.
In the mean time I've noticed my Max 8\Packages\RNBO folder and contents, and I'm assuming that whatever is happening is focussed around that area. I was honestly surprised to discover quite a bit of source code in there, making me even more confident about backing all this :)
I'll probably try this again, but not this weekend because I want to get some work done first ;)
Thanks for your comments, hope you guys can find something out the ordinary!
There are some issues with RNBO 1.3.0 on Windows, but a workaround appears to be installing Bonjour Print Services. We are working on a fix for this.
If anyone else ends up here like I did, I ran into this issue today out of the blue (I was happily patching with RNBO yesterday). I re-installed Max, and that did not fix the issue. Then I deleted <my_windows_user>/AppData/Roaming/Cycling '74/ and the issue went away. I'm not sure what was corrupted in my user settings, but all is well now. You might try that if you also end up here.
