ive been looking at a simple fft~ -> ifft~

rnbo sounds terrible compared to msp... why?

( I know we have previous talks about rnbo defaulting to handing window, but this doesn't change the sound ... even if I explicitly state window)

rnbo is very garbled, lots of lost info... max/msp is very clear

or are there some other differences (undocumented?) in msp vs rnbo (fft/ifft)

is rnbo only 32bit or something ?

You need to add @window rectangular in your ifft~ as well:

Then, there seems to be problems while live coding: there might be offsets between the Max vectors and the rnbo~ fft~ vectors. Re-starting audio seems to fix the problem when it occurs.

(amusingly, Im sure I tried this at some point, though likely had forgot to restart audio or something !)
