RNBO Max Externals and Platform Compatibility
Hello, I am wondering about the use of Max Externals from an RNBO export in a patch that should run on Mac and Windows.
I can see in RNBO there is a "universal" option that exports an .mxo and .mxe64 file. However, I wonder how to incorporate them in a patch that can be used/opened on both Mac and Windows.
My initial thought was to add/connect both external versions in the patch to the Max logic and then rely on whichever version is active based on the platform. However, on Mac, adding the .mxe64 files does not even show inlets to allow connecting to any logic.
Is the only solution here to have two separate patches (Mac and Windows version) with no way to move them between systems?
Thanks a lot for the insights.
externals needs no extension
when used in a patch.
bla-bla~ loads bla-bla~.mxo on mac
and bla-bla~.mxe64 on windows.
Great to know thanks! Perfect solution for my issue
