Robert Henke Granulator II multi output
Hello,
Does anyone know how to change the output (and spread) of this patch to more than a stereo output?
I would like to do some spatial mapping for 6 speakers but i'm pretty new to max and can't find my way around inside this crazy patch.
Thanks,
Stella
hi Stella, you're facing one of the sadly big limitations of M4L. No multiple audio inputs/outputs for either M4L effects and instruments. You can kinda "circumvent" those limits by using send~/receive~ couples but at the price of unpredictable latency.
Another big limit is no Midi In/Midi Out for effects. this is better solved with send/receive pairs.

The best solution would be using return tracks and assign them to external outputs. There is a "Multichannel" device in Ableton 8's library which allowed to dynamically control signal routing to return tracks.
If you don't have live 8 library, someone made a silightly modified version of it: http://www.maxforlive.com/library/device/1120/xy-send-nodes
