Rotate object

Hello Guys,

This might be a silly question, but, is it possible to rotate objects in Max?
Like, fpic images, or even better, buttons, sliders, etc?

Do you mean to swap one object for another? In the max window or dynamically while a patch is running?

There is the paste replace option in the right click menu for within the patcher.

The scripting options can create and connect objects.

No, sorry, I meant tht literally, is it possible to rotate, let's say a toggle, with 45 degree?

Ha!

Yes some UI objects have an orientation attribute in the inspector.

eg:

Yeah, but I need, of course, obscure rotations, like, 45 degree, 20 degree.

Anyone have an answer for this yet?

I'm wondering the same thing, I want the meter~ to start at the top and bounce down when it receives signal (ie rotate the object 180º)

Thanks

Search for "rotate object 180" in the forum. First result is your question, second result is the answer.

if you write your own (lcd/mgraphics/jitter/jsui) you can have any direction (as requested in 2019) and not only 180.
at least for diagonal it is still relatively easy to do.

peakamp~ is where you might want to start when making a custom meter.
