Sample delay~ re Sync math Question
Hi
I'm adding sample delays into a patch so I can push forward sounds rhythmically. My aim is the loop that's playing has the entire delay range covered up to when when the sound comes back and lines up to itself exactly to the first beat of the bar. Bit like Steve Reich phasing I guess.
I want to have this so I have the correct argument in delay~ to begin with to cover upto say 300bpm depending on what bpm I choose when I make music.
I've duplicated this little bit of the patch many times so I'm trying to be careful as its dsp..
Lets say you have a loop going at 120bpm loop going like this one I made earlier:

Here's a patch showing what I'm talking about, Please load this sample in
Just wondering if anyone has already worked out this math involved to do this.
This sound and patch above is only useful for working out 120 bpm. The thing I'm trying to make this for uses individual hits aka drum machine so i'm just trying to get my head around the calculation so I can implement this from the main bpm of the whole patch where it should work fine.
Hope this makes sense!
Many thanks for you time
question not 100% clear to me.
max delay time for 300 bpm will depend wether you always assume 120 bpm as default or not ...
