sc-max supercollider library
Hello,
I started porting some supercollider ugens to maxmsp. Most of them are noise generators, included is the sc implementation of the stochastic synthesis generator gendy conceived by Iannis Xenakis.
It is mac, max 5 only so far. But since this code is gpl'ed you can fork the project on github and I'd happily submit a windows port.
Just like to express thanks for this-- will you be porting more ugens (and can I put in a special request for klang and klank)?
T
I will port some more ugens specially some filters. Not too sure about klang/klank though: oscbank~ and resonators~ (from CNMAT) do the job good enough for me.
WOW!!
This is wonderful!! Thank you very very much.
It will be really nice to see more and more coming!
No more udpsend one day?? a dream...
GrainFM, TGrains.. are on your to do list?
thanks thanks thanks
wow, thank you for sharing!

haha, wonderful, danke. i cant wait to kinkosc in my bpatchers :) ... and i am curious about the CPU usage.

Very nice. Finally Gendy in MaxMSP. Thanx for the porting and sharing!!!!
very nice project!
what seems to me a bug (and i am not enough programmer to go and fix it):
when using multiple sc.dust~ or sc.dust2~ objects, the instances produce identical signals after the patch is reloaded. seems they get the same random seed.
two sc.gendy~ objects, or vanilla max noise~ objects *do* correctly produce different signals for each instance.

klaas-jan
This has been fixed as of now:
thanks!!!!!!
thank you for the quick fix.
Has anyone ported these externals for Windows yet?
Best regards.
very nice thanks to all for sharing these I have been having a lot of fun with them.
hello, any chance to get a 64bits version ? thx a lot.
@FP hey, you could be lucky. just pushed a 64bit update on github.https://github.com/v7b1/sc-max/tree/64bit_update
don't know if or when the original author will merge and make a new release.
if you want to try a preliminary built for osx, let me know.
oh thx a lot; actually I'm back to 32bits because of some annoying bugs in Ableton Live and a performance soon. but for sure I'll check it asap. best.
Hi all. The link above for the 64 bit version doesn't seem to be working. Does anyone have a working link for the 64 bit version of the SC externals? Would love to be able to use these in Max! Anyway, thanks in advance.
sorry, i did the 64bit version for my own purposes and made the sources available in case someone wanted to work with this. In the meantime the original author of the lib apparently is working on an update himself (which you can follow on github), so I took my stuff down again.
Hi all,
you can get the new mac 64 binaries here: https://github.com/sbl/sc-max/releases/download/1.0.0/sc-max-1.0.0.zip .
Source code etc is at https://github.com/sbl/sc-max .
To the c74 team - I used the latest cmake based build system and new max api for this. I have to stay this is quite a big pleasure to work with.
Somewhat off-topic but does anyone know of similar projects or repositories for sc to gen~ ?
Yes it could be great to port it to gen~. I would like to make by myself but I can't achieve it… :-(
Anyone know if this is still available anywhere?
It's there on Github but you need to compile it yourself...
Anyone know if this is working with max 8 ?
I'm using the already compiled version for MacOS, and it works fine with max 8.0.6 here.
Hi, I'm looking for the Windows (mxe) version and/or Gen. If somebody have it... Please. :-)
Dear all,
I hope this message finds you well.
I wanted to inquire if a version of this library is available for Mac Silicon computers.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Best regards,
Maurilio Cacciatore
Yeah, it could be really nice to have a version for Mac Silicon or a Gen~ version.
I can't achieve it definitely... Thx.
Hoooo, thk you very much Volker !
By the way, I tried to compile [fdn~] without success.
Did you try it ?
Here is the thread: https://cycling74.com/forums/fdn-object-update
the code seems to be up to date and not so complicated, so compiling shouldn't be difficult.
But I see that the port was done by @👽'tW∆s ∆lienz👽 (raja) - maybe just simply ask him directly?
Yeah you're right Volker. Thx again. Btw I didn't find how to contact members directly.
Hello, 👽'tW∆s ∆lienz👽, if you read this, "Help needed here!"
