Scaling frequency of pitch to mapable EQ parameter in ableton
Hello all,
I'm trying to create a way to take a pitch of a sample and scale it to something that would be mapable to an EQ filter in ableton. For example, if the fundamental pitch of a sample or note playing is C#3 (138.59 hz) I want it to be able to map it to an EQ node and have it follow that same frequency in EQ8 (or any EQ for the matter). I've been experimenting with retune~ and vb.pitch and I have all the pitch tracking working fine, but the issue coming when taking the frequency amount and scaling so it moves the mapped knob properly.
I can elaborate further if any of the above isn't clearer too.
Hopefully someone can assist!
A method of using the ftom object with an EQ's frequency bounds followed by appropriate scaling with the scale object is documented by DOUBLE_UG at https://cycling74.com/forums/mapping-to-midi-pitch-to-eq-frequency-knob
