Scope just display envelope once I touch it
Hi, I learn currently max and have the problem that I just can see an envelope in the scope once I touch it. Isn't there a chance to see a graphical representation of a 'wave' continuously?
Kind regards,
Boris
I still have this issue. From time to time it works that the waveform is displayed continuously. Anybody an idea?
It would simply good to know what is to expect with the scope~ object. What I'm asking is what is the 'normal' thing I can expect?
Hi
I'm not 100% sure that I understand your problem, but try connecting an integer number box to both the left and right inlets of the [scope~] object and slowly scroll the number box up to 64, while triggering your envelope. Then report back here.

You need to post a patch. Edit/Copy Compressed in Max. That picture is meaningless.
Is that correct?
Any idea?
please dont take this as "read the f*cking manual", which is not included in my vocabulary, but [scope~] surely has a nice hepfile with a simple example how to use it.
[scope~] - without modifications to its settings in the inspector - displays signals between -1 and 1.
Hi Roman, I'm sorry but I suspect you had not understand my question. My scope is not representing a signal over time. I just get a graphical representation of the signal once I click by my mouse on the scope .... I think there is something wrong with my mac?
Okey. Something is wrong in the interim. At the moment it works. Maybe a interconnection issue between Ableton live and Max.
Hi there, I have to repeat my old topic today again. Can someone help me in running this patch:
and answer me whether the sin wave is normally moving when the sound is played.
I and for myself I just can see a visual shift in phase when I click the scope object with the mouse pointer. I really would be interested whether I'm wrong with my assumption that I lack on something.
Kind regards,
Boris
Okey. Found the issue. I need to change the sampling rate in Ableton live from 44,1 kHz to another sampling rate and the scope comes to work as it should........
