Search unavailable in reference system

Searching the reference system results in the message "Search is unavailable as Max is currently rebuilding its database".
Reinstalling Max, completely removing and reinstalling, waiting for many hours, nothing helps. Anybody any idea?
Many thanks in advance.

Please get in touch with our support. We've seen some rare cases of this and eager to pin down the reasons for this so your help is highly appreciated.

Thanks
Florian

Oddly, here this seems to have fixed itself since yesterday.
The only observation I can offer is that I always used to call Reference mousing the help menu, and yesterday once went via the context menu. This might have fixed it. Help menu, command-shift-R or context menu all work OK now.

Thank you both. My problem is still ongoing, so I'm submitting a bug report.

Having the same issue. I just submitted my report. Happy Holidays!
