simple method for doing very fast rewind "reel tape style" on long audio files
Dear List.
long time no see.
I’m looking for a simple method for doing very fast rewind, seek, etc. (reel tape style) "audio control" on long (1-3 hours) uncompressed stereo audio files.
I started using sfplay with seek, speed, preload messages but I only had reliable results with short audio files.
any suggestions?
thank you
maybe you could create a mono down-sampled version of the file as a scrubbing file, and then use it as an index to the hi-res source file
hey, thanks! that's a good one.
although I would really like to try having a high res scrubbing.
maybe Miss pinky audio control patches could take me further... but i'll try to explore more options first..
