So below is a patch that works on my laptop, but does not work on my desktop.

The patch selects device 0 of track 0 in Live. Very simple.

Both computers have the same version of Live (9.6) and both are running the same version of m4l (7.2.0)

Only difference is that the laptop is using el capitan and the desktop is using mavericks. Can that make a difference? Is there anything else that could be causing this problem?

The live.objects on both computers output the same message "select_device id 0" and the patches in both do not output messages in the console.

So far I have not had any problems with any other patches not working on both computers.

EDIT: Also noticed that on the problematic computer the patch will select the targeted device only if the track containing the targeted device is selected for.
