Slow NonRealTime driver

I am having some issues with the NonRealTime audio driver!

It seems to me that the advantage of a non real time driver is to process audio faster than in real time. I mean, shouldn't the DSP CPU load be at 100% when the non real is selected?

Anyway, what I am experiencing is that the real time dsp runs faster than in the non real, and by a big difference. The only way that seems to fix it is to increase the both IO and Sig vector sizes up to 2048.

Does anyone have any suggestion on how to increase the non real time processing speed?
