Sony Playstation eye not working in max msp (windows 10)

Hello everyone,

I am trying to get my sony playstation eye to connect with Max MSP for a blob tracking project that I am working on a post graduate project. I have downloaded CL eye driver version 5.3.0.0341 and have managed to get camera to work on my windows 10 64 bit platform. However, when I try it get it to work within max msp through the use of the jit test, I Max MSP does not seem to recognize the camera and defaults to my built in webcam. Is there a way to get my Playstation 3 eye to work with max? Or should I consider getting a different camera. I am on a limited time schedule, so I am looking for the quickest solution. The hope is that I can use the playstation eye as I have already converted it to capture IR.
