Tesseract + shell

Hi everyone, I'm trying to invoke Tesseract from a shell object in Max. I tried different ways: sending Tesserect commands directly from a message to shell, loading the tesserect on an external script to be launched via shell on Max, etc .. Shell seems to ignore the tesseract message in each ways. If I run the script from desktop it works, if I launch tesseract from prompt it works correctly, other commands, like "say", works correctly. Some advice?
