I'm pretty new to Max right now and have an idea that I'd really like to bring to life - but Im just not sure if its possible. I thought I would reach out to the forums and see what you guys thought.

The general idea is to use live streaming video to trigger audio samples, based on colours hitting the point on a video overlay. We are trying to create an interface that would allow the user to make music based on the moving image.

The live video stream would be of the ISS, so as the world passes under the camera, the various colours hit points and when a colour hits a point its makes a certain sound.

Do you guys think this is possible? Have any ideas of were a rookie like myself would start?
