i am trying to make a one-shot sampler, that will record audio and be able to play it. The only trick is that i want to be able to set the starting point slightly before the moment i hit record.

- then set start time at time X-a few ms.

i am trying to make a one-shot sampler, that will record audio and be able to play it. The only trick is that i want to be able to set the starting point slightly before the moment i hit record.
So i'd need to :

- continuously record
- hit "play" at time X
- then set start time at time X-a few ms.

Ok, i think i made it over-complicated. It seems that just delaying the incoming sound would allow me to read sound that happened before i hit record.
