Jitter Hardware questions multi camera blackmagic? basic
Hey all
I'm looking for advice on jitter hardware today. (I'm running off a PC/ windows7. I have two USB2, one USB3.0, HDMI, and miniDisplay. )
I want to create a patch that takes aspects from 2 live feeds to record into a single video, being able to switch back and forth between the 2 cameras as well. These cameras will also be affected by some audio as well. The cameras will also be placed on performers so they wont be stationary, but they don't need to be wireless.
I'm just a little confused from reading all the older posts. and I want to be sure before I start buying equipment.
Does the camera need to record in mpeg4 or any specific format?
Do I need a blackmagic intensity, or is this just for HD. And if I want to use 2 cameras do i need TWO blackmagics?
Am I stuck to using webcams or will a video camera work?
thanks for any advice
any camera that connects to your computer (i.e. can be used as a webcam for skype, etc) should work with Max.
if your camera only outputs via HDMI, then you need some kind of capture and converter box like Blackmagic. if you need two inputs then you will probably need two boxes.
Thanks for the input Rob.
