Learning Zones

I want to start a new project (just for educational use) but I'm not sure I can do that with MAX MSP:

I need to build a very simple music project where I can manage audio clips onto a multitrack timeline. Like we can find in most commun software like "Ardour" "Garage Band"... and so on.

First i need to know if it's possible with MAX7 MSP
