We are happy to announce the hotfix updates of Max 7.0.3 and Max 6.1.10. These installers primarily address Mac OS 10.10.3 and new Apple hardware compatibility issues.

Any further issues that have been reported since 7.0.2 will be considered for Max 7.0.4.

You can download the updates here:

These can be installed over your previous Max 7 and Max 6.1 installations. Installing Max 7 will not affect Max 6.1 installs, and vice versa.

Hi Ben,
I just updated to the 7.0.3 and while the setup was running it asked me to close KinectMonitor.exe, KinectService.exe, KStudioHostService.exe and explorer.exe in order to proceed, is there any particular reason for that or no?
Thanks

Hi I just also noticed when I have the kinect pluged in to my computer and max/msp on with a simple dac~ object it turns kinect on and off with the dac~ object for no obvious reason. I dont have max and kinect connected in anyway here is a video of it

Eh, when i go to 'Cycling74 -> Examples -> jitter-examples -> gen' in the File Browser inside Max, i only get audio Gen patches?

Hi Mmarko,

These should be under Cycling '74->Examples->jitter-examples/gen, however there is currently a bug where example files are not listed in folders that have the same name as another folder in the search path.

You can get to these by going to Help->Exampes->Jitter examples->Gen.

Hi,

On Max 7.0.3 Windows 32bit version the udp receive doesn't work in a lan (cable or wireless) systema, only with localhost.
Someone knows when that problem will be solved? Or someone knows the solution?

also, in max 6, it was possible to write several first letters in order to find a specific attribute in the attui.
no more in max7 :(
It was really ergonomic

@ JON281092 , i am not on windows here, but this seems to be a firewall/permission issue not a bug.

jon281092's icon

@JAN, I think that is not a firewall issue, because I still have a version of max 6 and works ok and I have the same premissions on both. Anyway I will verify that very careful and if I found the solutions I post here :)

I've purchased and installed 7.0.3, but want to keep 6.1 as default on my machine for now. (OS X 10.9.5.) However, Finder won't cooperate. When I select a patcher and do Get Info->Open with:Max.app (6.1.7)->Change all.... it just reverts back to Max 7 as before. (Perhaps it's because both Max 6 and Max 7 are called Max.app?) Is there a way to make Max 6 the default? If not - if I uninstall Max 7 for the time being, will I have any problem re-activating my license later when I"m ready to reinstall?
