This is a strange request… and I know there has to be a way to do it, because people are doing things so much more complicated with max for live.

I am looking for a way to have a fullscreen picture displayed that changes to the next picture in a series as you turn a knob on a midi controller. That’s it. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

For anyone who is curious… here is what this will be for. A buddy of mine has a ridiculous…. and I mean RIDICULOUS collection of classic analog synths… 40+ and the majority of them are older than I am… anyway… He’s looking to set up an exhibition for them. The idea is for us to multi-sample all of them with a few different patches each and have them "playable" through ableton’s sampler with a twist of one knob to change which sampled synth you were hearing and another knob to flip through a few different sounds from that synth. I’ve got the sampler and all worked out already… but what we would also like to be able to do is have a picture displayed with the synth and it’s specs that changes as well. Another idea is to have a light that turns on above each synth when it’s patches are being played as well…. but we’re taking it one step at a time… lol
