What is the best way to store a reference to a parameter in the live set?

(In my case I build some user-assignable controls and I'm currently using a pattr object to store the id.)

Ids change, so do paths. Do I have to track the changes and re-store them?

Is there a reliable "onLiveClosing"-event or something? Preferably in the javascript-domain.

Ok for the ids, but why do your paths change ? Because you change the content of the live set or track order and don't use the 'follow path" outlet of [live.path] objects ?

Well, a path like "live_set tracks 4 clip_slots 2" points to something else as soon a new track gets inserted in front of it. Doesn't it?

(Btw: I don't use the graphical objects as I prefer js.)

I just found out that the pattr system, that I am using for storing data does not seem to be available after closebang / notifydeleted() / ...

So the only way to deal with that problem that I'm seeing right now is to restore the id from a saved path in the beginning and than storing the current path every some seconds. There must be a better solution to this easy problem?!

EDIT: pattr does seem to be available - I had forgot to enable "Parameter Mode" with my test object...
