I found it somewhere on the forum and I thought it was a great thread. I can’t locate it now. Does anyone have a patch like this or recall what I’m referring to?

I recall a solution (by Chris Muir I think) which used the [delay] object to quantize events. It was quite simple, but not simple enough for me to reproduce from memory I’m afraid.
if you’re prepared to wade through the noise in this thread there’s some useful patches posted–
as Andrew Pask points out there is real time quantization built into max:
realtime quantisation .. basically very easy.
you´d use registers such as [zl reg] or [int], which are banged from a sequencer.
