I have a patch that in 6.1 worked perfectly fine and now that I updated to 7.2.2 m4l my patch no longer works because it is not finding the Java script files. Please the see the screen shot. I did a search and couldn't find a direct answer to this question. It seems there is a new feature called packages to put your files now. I opened each Java Script code snippet and saved them in the Packages location.

This didn't fix the problem. Next time I opened the patch the files were missing again.

What is the new requirement to use java script code in a patch? Where do these files need to be stored so this is not a problem?

Your problem seems unrelated to any of those things, it seems your js file "List_to_NRPN.js" is found and recognized but there is a problem inside the js code, with the function 'list' which seem snot declared.

Also, java is way different than javascript. They are two different programming languages with different philosophies. It can be confusing.

At last, if you placed the jsfiles into the "package" folder, it could be you didn't understand the package thing at all, maybe try to read this :

And if you are using m4l it's different... but i don't really know how dependencies work with m4L, apart to put files in the same folder as the .m4l file

Anyway, after putting the files in the package location and restarting my machine it did work. According to the link VICHUG sent you can store your .js files there. My problem was not with my javascript code. This patch has worked for years without a problem until I updated to m4l 7.2.2.

So if anyone else ends up having this problem hopefully this will help you out.

Updated to Max 7.2.2 and now my max patch can't find the java files
