Can we do the same thing with a M4L device of Purchased Ableton Packs in Max?

Not only it does not appear in Plug-ins menu, but also the parameters are not exposed to control as default.

There are two different questions here I think.

@NABURO, yes, you can use any maxforlive device in Max 7. However, Max cannot see or parse any of the devices you have stored in you Live library. This was one of my first Max 7 feature requests :-) . So, you need to copy (not move!) devices from there to a location in your Max search path (e.g. the user 'Library') and then they will show up in your 'Plugins' section in your sidebar. Or you can create a collection in your Max browser to add all the relevant .amxd files there, or simply add your devices folder from your Live library to your Max search path via the Max browser. This is more complex for purchased devices from the Ableton store. For these, you must get inside the individual packs folders inside your 'Factory Packs' folder (e.g. on OS X right-click and 'show contents') and copy just the devices to a Max search path library. This way you can use your IrcamMax / Dub Machines / etc in Max 7.

@MASA, I think you are wanting the .amxd devices to behave like VST & AU plugins and optionally display a generic interface of sliders in-patch? No, this is not an available feature for .amxd devices in Max 7 - you should feature request it! You only get the .amxd device interface in-patch or the device as an abstraction box (with double-click for the interface), depending on your inspector settings.

Disclaimer - I am an author of the Dub Machines pack. I made them long before Max 7 & the [amxd] object, so there are a few issues using them in Max. Mainly, the names one needs to address parameters algorithmically from within Max are sometimes hugely annoying and not at first obvious. There is no way to 'get' this data, so I was thinking of maybe making a list for users at some stage, maybe when current life calms down a bit.

But to summarise, yes, it is very easy and possible to use any of your downloaded and / or purchased devices in Max 7.
