I'm a rank beginner with OSC, especially in Max, so I need a bit of help with using the information contained in an OSC message constructively within my program.

Basically, I have a Max patch which receives an OSC message, containing 6 integers, via UDP (using the udpreceive object). If I hook the udpreceive object directly up to a print object, the console prints out my OSC message with all 6 integers present and accounted for. So no problems there!

I'm just a bit confused as to how to now use each of those integers to control various parameters within my program - I'm sure this is very basic, but I can't find where in the documentation I might go to find this out. I literally just want to access each of those integers, and use their values elsewhere in the patch. Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi, check out the 'unpack' object, e.g. 'unpack 0 0 0 0 0 0' - this will give you 6 outlets, each of which will receive one of the integers which you can then process from right to left...
