Touchscreen-mode kslider, Different colours per key

Hai there,

I'm curious if anyone has any tips for having the keys display different colours on Kslider when using a MIDI Keyboard with Notein? I am displaying the keyboard for educational purposes, and am using the Touchscreen mode since it provides the best 1:1 representation for kiddos.

When it comes to colours, I'm using - for example - C = Red; D = Orange; E = Green; et cetera. I have been trying to isolate the various numbers that Notein produces, and have those bang a message to change the key colour; but I find that the notes aren't even showing on the Kslider haha. I realize that the easiest solution may be to have 12 different ksliders with different colours; but I'm curious if anyone else had other solutions =)

Thank you!

There was a thread about this a few weeks ago. It can be done, but it's pretty kludgy.

I definitely saw that one (and actually posted in it about using notein); but was never able to get notein + kslider to play properly with the methods they used there. I was curious if people had other suggestions =)

I apologize, I know that bumping is generally a faux-pas; but I had another question =) I used the concepts that Metamax made with the LCD panel; but am finding that when I switch notes, the "noteoff" of the previous note is like a global "noteoff" for all of the colours. Any idea how to make those independent? Or will I just have to very deliberately take fingers off every time?
