The only thing that is a bit unpleasant is that it also sends the commands to LIVE before you switch to the desired window. But you can't have everything. ;-)

for keystrokes only when that window is in front.

You could also try [11globalForegroundWindow] to switch window focus before, if you need to scroll another app's window.
