understanding max packages categories

I'm reading this page and wondering if someone could explain and/or point me to an example package that uses: - extensions (how is it different from externals?) - default-definitions - default-settings - interfaces - jsextensions - object-icons - object-prototypes - support
Also, where am I supposed to leave the js files for node.script abstractions? Inside the patchers of javascript?
Thx for all and any help

extensions are loaded at application load time and not tied to any specific object box, unlike externals.
having a quick look at my packages folder I see the ejies package contains several of these folders.
you may want to ask a specific question related to node files inside packages.

Thanks Rob! Just downloaded ejies and it does not have the folder extentions. Bach has it, but I don't understand what it is doing.
"you may want to ask a specific question related to node files inside packages." I have an abstraction that uses node.script object. As an abstraction, its .maxpat file lives inside the patchers folder. The .js file that node.script object loads is supposed to live also in the patchers folder, or the javascript folder, or somewhere else?
      Thank you for your help.
