Unsupported Old Midi Controllers

Hi People....

It's been a long time sinds I used Max but I have a question... I have a view Contollers that are really nice but no longer supported with the new Macos 11 and up. Like the Novation Nocturn and Native Instruments Kore 2, they both need to have a driver/configuration program that is no longer supported. Now the question: Is the a way to still get (controller) signals from them in Max. In System Information it shows the Nocturn connected as usb2 on usb 3 poort. But no lights light up and no reaction in any program.

I would love to find a way to keep using them. Even if that means writing my own Setup/Configure software. It would be a shame to have to trow perfectly good controllers away just because of a system update.

Any ideas or help would be welcome thanks in advance

greeting

Does your device show up as a MIDI device in the Max MIDI configuration panel? If it does, then you should be able to connect to it using a simple [midiin] object and then see what it sends. If not, have you tried using a generic USB MIDI driver as opposed to the manufacturer one as sometimes that will work.
