I’m testing this using the jit.grab.maxhelp.

USB cam on MacBookAirM2 digitizes and displays just fine via jit.grab and jit.pwindow.

After a while (between 1 minute and many hours) the video is frozen, though the qmetro is still running, and still showing the same fps.  The Max Console does not show any error messages.  Happens with several different usb cameras, including built in FaceTime camera.  Is this a max problem or a mac problem? I tried on another MBAm2 - same problem.  Tried on a 10 year old MBP - plays great, no freezing.  Seems to suggest it’s the MBA or the M2 processor.  Anybody experienced this?  Should I howl at Apple?  

Also, I could have max re’trigger the video grabbing if there’s a way to determine that the video has frozen.  But I haven’t found any way to determine this (the camera might not move for hours so detection of movement or lack of movement is not an option).
