Using Electric Drums in Max

Hi there,

I am trying to use my electric drum kit as an external controller in Max. However, I am completely new to Max and I have no idea how to go about it. I have a MIDI to USB cable.

Any help would be appreciated,

Plug your drums into your computer,. Open Max - go to the Options menu, then the MIDI Setup menu. Tick the boxes next to the entries for your drums. Open a patch, and add a Notein object. Lock the patcher, and double click on that object - a little menu will pop up - select your drums on this menu.add number boxes to the outlets on the object so you can see if its working,

This will get your midi notes into max.

If you want to get CC messages in, add a Ctlin object also, and set it to receive from the drums in the same method as the Notein message.
