Hey all,

I haven't been on here for a while and my max knowledge has became really rusty.

Have any of you fellow maxers read V.J Manzo's book and would you recommend it for someone getting back into Max/Msp??

If you really are into scales, modes, midi tools, etc, I would say yes. If you want to go more towards the msp side of max, you should rather go to the Giri / Cipriani book (which is much more complete, precise and academic btw...).

I would rather not answer the initial question directly... and simply say that I highly recommend the Giri/Cipriani book. Keep in mind there is a Max 6 version available.

Cheers guys I've got the first edition of Giri/Cipriani's book. Can this still be geared towards Max 6?

I've updated to max 6 a while ago and haven't even used it yet!!
