Virtual midi port for Max on Windows 10

Hi, I’m trying to map a wireless Xbox One controller with the object hi and I would like Max to create a midi device in Windows 10 to communicate with ShowCockpit an app that take midi input devices and can control Onyx my light software.

With OS X you can easily create a midi virtual port in the audio and midi config, what’s the solution with windows 10?

Thanks

You need an external software... I use loopMIDI

I thought loopMIDI was only for looping an existing midi device. I'll try it!

You can use this free software to do exactly what you need...
I normally use this to connect a max patch/application to Ableton or other application.
You can create a virtual MIDI port with loopMIDI, use this as midi output in one software and the same port can be the midi input in an other software.
