Possbily using Max for live could be an option for a project which I am in the planning stages. I am looking to create something much like this

The idea is to attach audio through Ableton as an instrument (Channel), attached to one coloured object and would be effected parameters such as panning, filtering and so forth. Anyone have any ideas or thoughts on how this could be undertaken! Any help much appreciated!
