voice change

I am doing a presentation of a puppet tradition of Iran and I want to see if there is any MAX patch that would help me with a difficult physical aspect of it. In this tradition, the actor uses a small thing in his mouth to change his voice. I wonder if there is anything available as a MAX patch that I could use to change my voice in real time.

If it helps, here is the link to the sample of what I am trying to achieve. It is when the puppeteer does his work that you hear the alteration he has made to his voice.

I would look into pitch shifting and formant shifting. This thread may be useful. https://cycling74.com/forums/monophonic-pitch-shift-real-time-timbre-neutral/

This [grainstretch~] external looks interesting as well https://cycling74.com/tools/grainstretch/#.VuDyBJMrJE4

If all else fails, there is a great VST/AU called Quikquak Pitchwheel, which I've used in the past, which you could use inside of the [vst~] object. http://www.quikquak.com/Prod_Pitchwheel.html

Hope this helps!
