Waldorf Microwave 1 vst not working at all in a vst object
It looks that Waldorf Microwave 1 vst plugin does not works within vst object. The GUI does not opens and even if dropping the vst directly to the patcher (not through vst object) it just shows a vst object including the file path.
Does anyone has the same issue?
It works ok in max vst object.
Weird! It does not work for me. Im on mac too.
You did not post plugin version / type, max version and system version,
which could make the difference.
My is high sierra 10.13.6 and max 8.3.3, plugin 1.1.0 vst, vst3 and AU work ok.
If plugin can't load, you should have some error posted in max console.
OS 12.6.1 / max 8.6.5
this is the message: Microwave1.vst3 (format VST3): failed to instantiate, error: Unable to load VST-3 plug-in file
max 8.6.5 seems to have problems with vst3 ,
but vst & au load ok

what can be confusing is the very long load time, but this has been somewhat fixed with last week´s update.
it works fine in max v.7, too, so the error mesage you see seems strange. it is not a big loss to switch to the VST2 build though.
mine now runs in standalone mode, has MPE, morphing controllers, a library system and all its VST parameters can be remoted from a MacOS9 client over the network.
I`ve contacted Cycling and they`re checking this issue. Will keep you posted. Thanks
