I have a project where sounds are played according to the position of a visitor in 2D. So I want to store volume maps in 2D data containers.

As I'll have several tens of sounds and will scan these maps continuously, I am wondering what's the best type of container for these maps.

In any case they will probably be created with jit.lcd at first and converted if required.

Possible containers so far are:
1. Jitter matrixes.
2. dicts
3. Ircam's FTM matrixes
