What does '10 atoms' mean in Reference?

I often see the phrase '10 atoms' in Max Reference. What does it actually mean?
For example, in the Reference of Groove~, it says 'originaltempo [10 atoms]'.

Thank you. I looked up the page, but couldn't figure out what ‘originaltempo [10 atoms]’ actually means relating to 'groove~' object.
