I am experimenting with the VIZZIE AVRECORDR but can't determine where it sends the output file. The object appears to ignore the directory specified. A message from VIZZIE says the file is sent to the C74 folder which I have thoroughly searched. Can someone please advise?

what do you select as output folder ? what is the full path to that "C74 folder"

I chose the desktop as where to send the file but it doesn’t show up there. The C74 folder I know of is part of package contents for the app and I don’t see the file there. Thanks for your reply.

jit.vcr does not write any file unless it really receives any material to record. maybe you miss some connections. Evenn that this vizzy looks nice, it is not very helpfull to get the stuff running behind.

I thought avrecordr would be wise because it records OpenGL objects as well as audio. If you could just tell me where c74 folder location is. Try to record yourself with it and see it doesn’t let you specify the output file location. Thanks for your help

I don't use any vizzy stuff, but that example does work as expected. If you say c74 folder maybe it is user settings folder, anyway that vizzy example posts absolute path to max console. It will tell you where it is. And again - using that vizzy examples is tricky. Use help file of it. vz.avrecordr.maxhelp
that should contain all connections. Again - watch max console for any errors

The console says the file is on Desktop but its not there. Guess I should scrap that idea.

please uderstand this , I will repeat it again then name of recording file gets posted to console once record button is hit, but jit.vcr does NOT create file or writes anything to disk if it did not capture any material. I have no idea what your problem is, are you using helpfile, and running that example video ?
Post some infos or screenshot with your video settings, video engine etc maybe that will explain the recording failure.
