Will "Mira" run in iPad's background?

Hi all,

I am planning to purchase Mira, the iPad controller app of Max, to collect some motion data from the users, such as the accelerator, the orientations, etc. However, I would like to use Mira in the background, because I would like to have another App on the iPad screen.

Does anyone know if Mira is possible to receive those data while another iPad app is running? Or is there any alternative to receive iPad's motion data?
